The Chicago Compliance Roundtable brings healthcare compliance professionals together in an informal setting and provides an opportunity to discuss the challenges and situations they face at work. The ultimate goal for this event is to build a community of colleagues in the Chicagoland area, including Indiana and Wisconsin, and open a dialogue for sharing best practices in compliance.
The roundtable will include discussion surrounding compliance risk mitigation, including: strategies for compliant clinical documentation; effective communication techniques and impact awareness; involvement of key compliance and clinical documentation stakeholders; and physician education and training tactics. The discussion will also include strategies on how to incorporate the new ICD-10 clinical documentation requirements into your compliance program.
The September 26, 2014 Compliance Roundtable discussion will be supplemented by guest speaker Kathy Seward, MD, Physician Advisor. Dr. Seward’s unique experience will provide insight on compliant clinical documentation and physician engagement with compliance.
